Leftover seeds keep for years if you store them cool, dark and dry, and a sealed jar with a silica packet in the fridge is enough for most people. Freezing works but only if the seeds are already very dry, otherwise ice damage ruins them. I picked up the humidity target from a storage guide on https://budweedseeds.com, which put it around eight percent moisture content for long term keeping. Labelling the jar with the date saves confusion two seasons later.
